The Journeys, Go Math and Fusion series are also used in Grade 6. Our spiral curriculum allows the child to learn more about the subject each time the topic is reviewed or encountered. The idea is that each time a student encounters the topic, their knowledge expands and their skill level improves. The information is reinforced and solidified each year and allows logical progression from simple ideas to more complicated ones. At middle school level students are encouraged to apply the subject knowledge acquired earlier in their school careers to current course objectives. Arabic, Islamic Studies and Social Studies programs are based on the prescribed material provided by the Ministry of Education here in the Sultanate of Oman. In this phase of the school, learning becomes more focused and independent. Independent learning is encouraged as it develops creativity and intellectual curiosity. Music, Art, PE and Information Technology (ICT) is compulsory in the primary section of the school.
