ADMISSIONS

Welcome to our Admissions page. Below is a description of the registration process at our school.

Registration opens in the January of every year, and closes once all available seats have been filled.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

The requirements for acceptance are as follows:

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

STEP 1

INITIAL APPLICATION

The following documents must be submitted with your initial application:

  • The original birth certificate, plus an additional copy. (Applicable to KG)
  • The final report card from the previous school attended by your child. (Applicable to students transferring from another school)
  • A copy of the final report card from the previous school attended by your child. (Applicable to students transferring from another school)
  • Please note, all new applicants must write the school's entrance exam so that their scholastic level can be assessed. 
  • All entrance exams carry a cost of 20 Omani Rials, and the money is non-refundable.  

STEP 2

ENTRANCE EXAMS AND INTERVIEW 

  • Ensure that you have completed the online registration form.
  • Parents will be informed as to how the online form can be accessed.
  • Once the form has been filled out, the school will arrange an appropriate appointment time for the exam.
  • Please note, on the appointed day, parents must provide the school with the application number provided by the online system, as well as all the documents mentioned in step one.
  • Please wait at the designated area during the entrance examination registration process can be completed.Parents will be invited to speak to the principal and go on a school tour during the waiting period.
  • STEP 3

 

FINAL REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • 4 recent passport photographs of your child.
  • A copy of your child’s passport.
  • A copy of parents’ Identity Card.
  • The original plus a copy of your child's vaccination card. 
  • A transfer form that has been officially endorsed.  (Applicable to students transferring from another school
  • A no objection certificate from the school which your child was previously at.
  • A signed registration form and financial declaration.
  • A non-refundable school fees down payment must be paid into the school's bank account.

CONDITIONS OF ADMISSION

  • Students will be accepted provisionally based on the final result obtained.
  • Acceptance is based on the availability of vacant seats in the chosen grade.
  • Please note, if your child scores lower than 50% for any subject in the entrance examination, it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure that the child is provided with the necessary support to ensure that the child is at grade level for the new academic year.

Students being transferred within the Sultanate of Oman

  • All students who have been accepted to AIS must be transferred via the Educational Portal of the school they previously attended.
  • If the child is transferred by the parent or guardian, the transfer number must be attached to the transfer form.
  • Students who have been abroad
  • All reports must be authenticated by the Ministry of Education.
  • Once the document has been authenticated, it must be submitted to the supervision and evaluation department in order to obtain the certificate of authentication.
